Henderson ( actress1961@yahoo.com )\nPerformance Dates: Mondays, Friday’s and Saturdays, February 26 – March 20, 2010-7:30 pm. \n2:00 Matinees March 6 and 13 \nAdults $9.00 and Seniors and Children $8.00\nCall for Reservations Mon., Wed. – Sat. 10 am to 1 pm (435) 723-8392\n\nSimilar to, but not exactly like the 1950’s movie, (this is better)! Elvis-type rock star and teen heartthrob, Conrad Birdie, is being inducted into the army. (Cue the screaming teenage girls in poodle skirts and hula-hoops!) Due to bad contracts, Conrad’s manager/songwriter, Albert Peterson, will then become bankrupt. Albert’s long-time secretary and girlfriend, Rosie Alvarez, comes up with a scheme to make Albert some money so he can get out of the music business and marry her. (He wants to be, “An English Teacher”, but his Super-controlling mamma, Mae Peterson, doesn’t want her ‘Sonny boy’ to leave their joint company “Al-Mae-Lou”, and, heaven forbid, marry Rosie.) Rosie tells Albert to write a song called, “One Last Kiss”. Conrad will sing it to a randomly selected teenage girl, Kim MacAfee, LIVE, on the Ed Sullivan Show, after which he will kiss Kim and then enter the Army. Rosie believes that the publicity will vault the song to #1 and make Albert rich. Cut to Sweet Apple, Ohio where Kim MacAfee, local president of the Conrad Birdie Fan Club, has just been pinned by Hugo Peabody, jealousy to ensue! The adults have several fun numbers: “Healthy Normal American Boy”, “Kids”, and “Hymn for a Sunday Evening”. The teens and young adults will sing and dance in the title cut\n“Bye Bye Birdie”, “Telephone Hour”, “Got a Lot of Livin’” and more! This is the classic, family favorite! It is a funny, energetic & charismatic show that will have you tapping your toes, singing along, and smiling all the way home. \n\nThe cast includes : Conrad Birdie played by Tyson Price of North Ogden, Kim McAfee played by Emilee Cooke also of North Ogden, Rosie Alvarez played by Jessica Knowles of Ogden, Albert Peterson played by Doug Shepherd of Liberty and Hugo Peabody played by Jared Henderson of North Ogden.\n\nVisit our website at www.heritagetheatreutah.com for more information!\n\n\n
